I haven't posted in a few days because I was terribly embarrassed by failing my drivers test. It is all my fault. I just skimmed through the book thinking that I knew it all. I was going to retake it right away but I thought I would just let my husband take me the next day. My hubby convinced me to wait a few more days and really go over the book. He said he would get off work early Wednesday or Thursday and take me. He is right. I don't want to rush into it again. You only get 3 tries and then you have to wait a year before you can try again.

On a good note, yesterday my husband an I went to the nursery and picked up all of our vegetables. We also got some strawberries. He started turning over the dirt but it was way to wet. I picked up tons of herbs which I said I wasn't going to do. I got peppermint and chocolate mint. I thought those would be great for tea. We got tons of cilantro and chives. I decided to put those in containers. They are big window boxes but I am going to keep on the back deck. We decided to try a few different things this year. Cabbage and lettuce are 2 new things. I couldn't pass up the jalapenos and got one plant of chili peppers. I really hope those grow big. We bought a bunch more vegetables but I don't want to bore you with all this garden stuff.

I lost another 2 lbs. I have lost a total of 8 lbs. It is very slow going but if I lose 8 lbs a month I will be very happy. I am going to start walking again because I have been slacking off big time. I think that is why I only lost 2 lbs in 2 weeks. I can't believe it because I have been bad the last few days. Our neighbors took us to this restaurant called The Melting Pot last night. It was outrageous. Everything was good from the appetizers, salad, main course and dessert. I have never tried fondue and this was wonderful. The main course was shrimp, lobster, chicken, 2 kinds of beef. Tons of mushrooms, broccoli and squash. I thought my daughter was going to die when she saw all of the desserts. We got 2 pots. One with smores chocolate and the other was chocolate with Bailey's Irish Cream. YUMMO. Thanks for the phrase Rachel Ray. LOL We dipped strawberries, bananas, pound cake, cheese cake, pineapple, brownies into this chocolate. We didn't get home until 11:30. We were there for 3 1/2 hours. What a wonderful experience. I hope everyone gets a change to go to this place. I didn't realize that it is a chain of restaurants.

Well, my hubby will be home from work soon and I want to get ready and see if he wants to do something. I may just wash my van since it is so dirty and the weather is perfect for it. He just came home while I was typing this and said he is going to get gas for the lawn mower so I guess we are just going to do yard work. My daughter went to a party this afternoon at a church and then she is sleeping over at a friends house. I think they may sleep in a tent outside. Isn't it great to be young.

Hey 8lbs loss sounds good to me....could of been the other way around ya know! lol
I can't wait to see pics of your herb and veggie garden. Mine are doing ok, but I am wanting to do a bigger barrel or even a ground bed of em.
I have never tried fondu, but I have a feeling I would love it. We don't have any place around here that serves that type of food....but with the rebuild ya never know what is coming next.
Best of luck on that next test.....STUDY Girly!

Congratulations on losing another two pounds....good for you! Keep up the good work and I have no doubt you'll make your goal. I'm sorry about the drivers test....but don't feel embarrassed by telling us! Heck....who in J-land has never failed SOMETHING? You were probably just too nervous....try to relax and remember what you'd do if you were actually driving, it'll all come back to you.
Your garden sounds like it will be wonderful :)

Linda~
