I had a really good day today. I walked for 40 minutes in the morning and then another 20 minutes in the late afternoon. My feet are hurting so bad. One day I hope to be able to jog. I need new gym shoes really bad. I buy expensive gym shoes because I am so overweight and I wear them all year. Last year I wanted to save money so I bought a pair at Sam's Club. They are Nike and they were $25.00 I am thinking of going to Lady Foot Locker tomorrow. My daughter also wants to take a run to the shelter to just look at dogs. I told her when we come back from Tennessee we will get a dog. I think we might go look anyway tomorrow.

My husband hasn't had time to work on our pond yet. I think he might do it when I am in Tennessee. Today when he came home from work he put my radio/cd player under my kitchen counter. My mother in law gave it to us last year and I have been bugging him to put it up. It looks great. I know I will be listening to music when I am washing the dishes and cooking. If only I can talk him into putting a tv in the kitchen above the water cooler. Whenever I have to chop a bunch of vegetables and fruit I take the cutting board and everything into the front room so I can watch tv.

This is what I had to eat today:  I had oatmeal and banana for breakfast. Snack was low fat string cheese and an apple. Lunch was spinach salad and a chicken sandwich on low fat whole wheat bread. Snack was salsa and pretzels. Dinner was chicken with tomatoes, celery and tons of herbs over brown rice. I had about 56 ozs of water today. Oh I forgot I had strawberries and blueberries with fat free cool whip after dinner.

Well, this old girl is going to bed early.

Way to go on the walking....the humidity here is already so damn bad that you can barely go check your mail without breaking a sweat....lookin like a hoochie in the front row of a pentacostal church revival!
I hope that y'all find a dog for the family....find a Shar Pei mix, they are the sweetest(ok, kinda partial to em, since my baby boy, Valentive is part Pei and lord only knows what else! lol)
I have to say that your eating sounds so damn yummy and healthy..... you are at an advantage with the gardening you do amd able to add all those good for you veggies that sometimes can be a bit pricy at the store....you are really getting me psyched up to start a diggin! lol.

Congrats on all your walking! You are going so awesome! It's so important to have good shoes, huh? The marathon is only 10 days away and I am hoping my shoes aren't TOO broken in! I have sure been using them a lot!
Your menu sounds great! I hate chopping vegs. I need a radio in the kitchen, too!
Have a great Tuesday!

Good job walking!!!  You are doing so good with your exercise and eating! It gets easier everyday, I am on an a routine to lose weight too.  I have been walking everyday at lunch 25 mins and try to get hour walks in on the weekend.  You are so right about the good shoes, my feet kill if I wear bad shoes to work.  I wanted to compliment you on your journal it always looks so nice, I love all your little pictures.

Your menu looked great......you are doing so well with your weight loss plan!!! I have a TV in my kitchen and you are soooo right, it really helps pass the hours when I have busy work I need to do. The music will be fun too though, you can dance around while you cook & clean....think of all the burned calories. :)
Your house is so pretty and your garden looks awesome.....you all must be so proud when you look at it!
Have a GREAT Wednesday.....
