I know I used these 2 graphics before but this is how most of the J-landers seem to be feeling right now. I know I am one of them. We get some relieve tomorrow and are only going to be in the 80's. Yeah!
I took my daughter and her friend to Splash Station yesterday 
and we used the rainchecks that we got on the 27th. My daughter is on the right and her friend Angela is on the left. We were there for 2 hours and my daughter says she wants to leave. I was hot and not just because the heat index was 108 degrees. I wanted to stay all day. She said they went on all the slides a bunch of times and wanted to go to the show. I told her no. I said if you want to leave we are going home and I will go swimming in the neigbor's pool all day, so that is what we did.
I felt like it was a waste of those tickets even though we got them for free. I would have stayed until 6 or 7 pm.
I just got back from dropping my daughter and her friend off at her house. It is about an hour drive. When I was driving home I decided to go to Target to pick up my prescriptions and do a little shopping. I then went to Sam's Club to pick up a few things. The air conditioning in the vehicle does not seem to be working very well. I was sweating all the way home. My hubby is off tomorrow and Friday. I hope he doesn't have any side jobs because I would like to do some adults things together. I cut the back yard grass the other day. I have not even tried to do the front yard since it is so big. I am so out of shape that I would have to stop every 10 minutes and probably more like 5 minutes since it is so hot.
I got on the scale this morning and it only looks like I gained back 3 lbs. I am still down 20 lbs. It is time for me to get back on track 
and stop using all these excuses of mine. You name it, I have used it. LOL
I think it is time for me to take a little nap. I was going to go swimming but my puppy Bambi is laying on the bed waiting for me to take a nap with him.

Just checking in to say hi! Things with me continue to improve and I see the surgeon on Friday for my first post op knee x-ray to see if the pin is staying in place....if so, I can put full weight on it as tolerated, whooohooooo!! I haven't been visiting journals this week because my niece, Julie, has been going through some drama and she's been staying here. Things look better though and she moved back home today so.....keep your fingers crossed. I can't post that in my journal since she reads it, but wanted you to know I hadn't forgotten or abandoned you!! I miss my "normal" journaling and looking forward to my life returning to normal next week with WW, walking, a quiet house & J-land!!! :) Don't worry about the 3 pounds, it will come right back off!

I am with ya on the staying in the water....I am not a water fan(hell I have a real fear of being in any water over my waist)but I have really enjoyed this pool that we purchased....best money spent in a long time!

Try and stay cool.....lil Bambi must be feeling better with the lil Kennel Cough huh? He is so tiny I would be scared to roll on him during a lil siesta.....that is one thing I don't have to worry about with my Valentive....his big but usually ends up rolling on me.....I think this is on purpose! lol

The heat is bad here too.. It is supposed to cool off here by the weekend. LOW 90's.... LOL It is just so unbearable outside. Stay cool... I would love to be at the water park all day.. I guess she got tired of it sooner than you.. Have a great day. Dondie
