My insurance company denied me having the gastric bypass surgery. I have never been so depressed in my life. I was on the phone with my sister in law when the other call came through and put my sil on hold and when I came back to talk to my sil I just started crying and I couldn't talk.
I hung up with her and called my sister in Tennessee. She wants me to go back to Weight Watchers and try again. I am also thinking about maybe seeing how much a personal trainer is just to get me started on the right track. I really didn't have a plan B if the insurance company denied me.
Oh well, enough of the whining about that. I just tried to keep myself busy today with other things in the house. 
Everything is decorated in the house. 
There is only a few things that needs to be done outside but since it is freezing 
here we are probably going to wait a few days. 
I took a few pictures with the disposable camera since my digital one is only taking blurry pictures. As soon as I am finished with the camera I will take it in and have them put my pictures on a cd so I can show them in my journal. I am so proud at how our house looks.
We got so much snow the other day. First we had a ice storm and then we got about 8 inches of snow. 
It is not melting at all since it is so cold out. Right now it is only 21 degrees. Brrrrrr
Well, I am going to end this since I am getting sleepy. Have a nice evening everyone and thanks for letting me rant.

Will they ncover the lap band?? I have thought about having the surgery but, I am chicken. So, I never inquired about the insurance. Hugs~~Carol~~

Sorry you got denied. Wow you're on the ball with the decorating. All thats done is outside. You all got snow. We didn't get anything but cold weather. They say maybe snow tomorrow.

I am sorry you were denied - can you appeal or offer to pay part of the procedure and have them cover the rest? Has your doctor recommended the surgery or is this something you want? I'm thinking if a doctor recommends it they're more apt to approve. Either way I think its great that you start back at weight watchers and also with a trainer - at least get the ball going when your in insurance limbo. I can't wait to see pictures of the house, BRRR 21 is cold!! Have a good day and stay warm. Leene
I'm sorry you were denied. I briefly looked into it with my insurance and found out they not only NOT cover the surgery they don't cover any nutritional services, like going to a nutrtionist--I was told they did. I guess I need to call higher up to find out.

did they give you a reason? can you appeal? I have had some things denied before and have had DR write letters and have had it approved...don't give up yet!!!!

I'm sorry sweetie what a let down. I think you are thinking in the right track though joining Weight Watchers and hiring a trainer. The old fashion way exercise and eating right always work although its not fun. You can do what ever you set your mind too! Maybe you can appeal it. Hugs-Tabatha

I love weight watchers but decided to try Atkins i already started not waiting till January 2nd.LOL so tired of carrying the baby weight around he's 3 years old for goodness sake LOL best of luck to you

So very nice to meet you! Im so sorry about the denial of your insurance company! Dosent it just make you so mad that an insurance company gets to decided what we do and do not need! Im forever having my insurance company decided my fate and it really upsets me! Don't give up you can always appeal!!!
