Working Girl

79.gif

I just wanted to come in and make a quick entry. I was interviewed for a job on Wednesday and they called me yesterday at about 4:30 and asked if I could come in now. I hopped in my car and started working at 5. I got home at about 8:45. I was on my feet for about 3 1/2 hours. I am not used to that and my feet were killing me. Oh before I forget I am working at a video store. It is only about 10 minutes away and they have 2 stores. I thought I was going to be working at the store they interviewed me in but they decided to have me work at their other store. I don't mind because they are both the same amount of distance.

When I was driving home from my interview and heading into town I noticed a sign that said Bank of Elwood, call so and so if you are interested. I figured if I didn't get the job I was going to call. I still might call because that is the field I have worked for most of my life. I worked at Harris Bank for almost 10 years and a few other banks in between. They haven't built the Bank of Elwood yet. Our small town is really building up. Our town consists of 2 bars, a small grocery store, laundry mat and that is about it. It is like Mayberry town. LOL We just love it.

Well, I am off to doing things around the house.cid_22B058E8-234F-4942-8AF2-BA0E-1.gif I don't start working until 4 and get off at about 9:30. I haven't worked in 10 years so I know it is going to take time for me to adjust. 1212121.gif

Wish me luck.

YEA on the new job!!!  I remember working retail and having my feet hurt after working, focus on getting home and soaking them - it seems to help you forget the pain.  Have a good night at work :-)  Leene

congrats on the new job! I am happy for you. How does it feel to be on your feet all that time? I bet it's tiring! I know I felt really good after going back to work... like I was giving back to the world. I think it would be fun working at a video store.

Hope you have a great weekend!!
